Join Gloucestershire-based mosaic artist Wal Bibbings for a hands-on workshop inspired by the vibrant colours and forms of the Kiftsgate garden. In this relaxed, one-day course, you’ll create your own 8x8” garden-themed mosaic on MDF –perfect for displaying indoors.

Wal will guide you through the key techniques of mosaic-making, from cutting and shaping tesserae to effective placement, adhesives and the grouting process. You’ll experiment with both ceramic and glass tiles, learning how to combine materials to striking effect.

The workshop is suitable for all abilities, whether you're completely new to mosaics or looking to develop your skills further.

Additional information…

Price includes all tools and materials and tea/coffee/biscuits. Please bring a shoebox (or similar) to use while cutting tiles to help keep things tidy!

Lunch can be purchased from the tearoom, or feel free to bring a picnic lunch.

This workshop will take place on the veranda.
