If visiting with a wheelchair, please drive right up to the garden entrance to unload as the drive is gravelled.
The garden is not recommended for powered vehicle users because of uneven paths and steep drops.
No wheelchairs are available at Kiftsgate.
Planning Your Visit:
We encourage visitors to make the most of their visit to Kiftsgate and suggest that you set aside at least an hour and a half to appreciate the garden. You are welcome to stay as long as you like up until closing time!
Coach parties are welcome. There is parking available for coaches in our large car park. We appreciate prior notice if you intend to arrive as a coach party.
Children are welcome in the garden of course! As Kiftsgate is situated on a steep bank we do advise that children are supervised while visiting the garden.
We are unable to offer guided tours of the gardens, although we are here to answer any questions you might have about the garden The paths around the garden are narrow and are not suitable for guiding visitors through the garden. There is a beautifully photographed and presented brochure available to buy which describes each area of the garden.
Sorry but dogs are not welcome in the garden itself, although there is a large area of lawn where dogs can be walked.
